Lauren has been working in the Sports & Fitness Industry for over thirty years, teaching Athletics, Netball and Swimming, as well as being a qualified RSA Fitness Instructor, Circuits Instructor and Power Plate Trainer. She also holds a diploma in Sports Psychology and is a qualified Nutritionist. She spent ten years working overseas as a Skydiving Instructor and United States Parachute Association Freefall Instructor Examiner but was then introduced to Pilates and went on to train with the Body Control Pilates Association in 2000.
Lauren spent 15 years as the owner and director of Stratford Pilates Centre working with Doctors and Clinical Practitioners, The Royal Shakespeare Theatre and taught Pilates to talented young athletes selected through Stratford on Avon Athletics Club. Lauren is a Master Pilates Teacher and Level 4 Specialist Exercise Instructor (low back pain) who is also trained on all studio apparatus.
She moved to Devon in 2015 where she has local classes, an Equipment Studio and is co-founder of the Pilates Health Project virtual studio and members area.
In 2021, Lauren qualified as a Menopause Coach with Burrell Education subconciously looking for the answers to her own un-asked questions, then completed the Menopause Movement course. She now uses all her combined Pilates, Nutritional and 'Menopause' knowledge to provide full wellness packages for women who are looking for a complete health ‘reset’; both in the community of north and mid-Devon and via the virtual Studio at Pilates Health Project which provides movement recordings, lifestyle and wellness support, recipe cards and exercise specific to menopause.
