I’m currently training to become a personal trainer after a forced career break following a breast cancer diagnosis.
I’m now living with chemically induced menopause, and I know first-hand how challenging menopause symptoms, treatment and recovery can be.
Movement has been a huge part of my own journey. During active treatment and beyond, staying active has helped me feel stronger, more positive and more like myself.
Before my diagnosis, I was a keen sportswoman, having represented Great Britain in water polo, competed as a GB age-group triathlete and taken on an ultramarathon.
These days, I move for a different reason — for my health, my wellbeing and, most importantly, for fun.
I’m passionate about helping other people going through menopause or recovering from cancer to discover the benefits of movement too.
You don’t have to be an athlete, and exercise doesn’t have to be extreme. My aim is to help people find ways to get up, get moving and feel stronger and more confident in their bodies, whatever their starting point.
